KEY RESULTS OF THE MISSION CARRIED OUT BY IN-VR UNDER THE PIVOTAL WORLD BANK TENDER IN MAURITANIA

The Ministry of Oil, Mines and Energy hired the specialised IN-VR consortium as the internationally renowned energy sector public relations firm, supported by BEYOND, an international firm specialising in institutional capacity building, and BETACOM, a leading Mauritanian communications strategy firm.

Our team in charge of the mission, flew to Nouakchott on the 9th of February 2023, in order to present the incredible work and the many milestones reached since June 2022, when the journey under a World Bank tender started.

The mission of the Consortium consisted in developing and implementing a #communication strategy, to promote and mobilise Mauritania's vast #energy potential.

The mission was organised around four main stages:

1.

An audit phase

2.

A communication strategy development phase

3.

The start of the implementation of this communication strategy

4.

A phase of institutional capacity building through the development of a communication strategy

WHAT HAS IN-VR BEEN IN CHARGE OF?

IN-VR’s input was focused on the development phase of the international communication strategy. A Business Sentiment report was carried out giving key results, a clear audience analysis, enabling the team to identify key messages, key communication tools, leading to the development of the communication action plan. The main actions for the deployment of the communication strategy at an international level were the development of a structured messaging platform to align and ensure consistency of communication at international events involving the MPME, to promote Mauritania through all existing communication channels and additionally the deployment of an extensive communication campaign at the international level.

Every step of the strategy deployed during the mission was guided by our and the Ministry's common values - Transparency, Trust, Commitment; core values that were integrated into all activities undertaken.

MISSION AND NEXT STEPS

Throughout the mission, it became clear to our team that projects of this magnitude indeed require many steps. The first of these having been undertaken through the first contract with the consortium, Mauritania has laid its first stones towards success and will see others if it ensures that it remains strategic in its #regional and #international#promotion and #cooperation.
